Nick is a Vice President and member of the investment team at Highlander Health. Previously, Nick was a member of the investment team at Parthenon Capital, where he focused on executing healthcare investments. He’s also held roles at Greenhill and Goldman Sachs, and brings investment and advising experience across a wide range of industries in addition to healthcare.
I was immediately intrigued by the idea of teaming with experts in the space to make long-term purposeful investments. For a small team, we have broad resources. Our permanent capital is an asset that allows us to invest in systemic change that requires a long-haul orientation.
One is that I try to be collaborative. More viewpoints lead to better outcomes. What’s more, I will never know the business as well as those in it day to day. Second, we’re deeply thematic at Highlander Health Partners, and our investment themes are born out of experience and research.
Engaged. We’re building a concentrated portfolio so that we can give all of our energy to a few portfolio companies. That’s rare. A typical fund has dozens of investments.
